At&t saddles consumers with 1$ Billion charge for healthcare

Healthcare bill forces At&t to take 1$ billion dollar charge for healthcare” – Washington Examiner

“AT&T Inc. will take a $1 billion non-cash accounting charge in the first quarter because of the health care overhaul and may cut benefits it offers to current and retired workers.”

I wonder how AT&T customers feel about the situation, please feel free to vent in my comments section below if you’re a consumer and upset about this. If you’re happy with this you can leave comments too, but I can’t imagine people being happy over this. Since taxes are not discriminatory they are suspose to trickle down and effect everybody, but obviously thats not the truth to the situation.

The truth may seem strange, but all companies will pay higher taxes for healthcare thus them flipping the bill ultimately to the american people just like they always have.

One Response to At&t saddles consumers with 1$ Billion charge for healthcare

  1. Diane Thomasa says:

Well, if AT & T doesn’t like it, it has enough clout to demand that the so called healthcare bill is repealed. AT&T wouldn’t be the only entities calling for a repeal. If I worked for AT&T, I would be furious about this situation. Frankly, I see some people at least just chucking their phone service and cable service. I see it happening now. It will only get more so in the coming months. When people finally get so fed up with the way things are going in this area of enforced healthcare and its partner higher taxation, I don’t see the same idiots in office who are there now still remaining. This is going to have a snowball effect. IF the politicians don’t see this, well it sure will be a big shock. But, people will eventually just pull the plug on Obamacare and AT&T will suffer a financial backlash of some proportions. They can’t afford to lose customers. If they can, they have more money than they need and people should look at that aspect because they are getting charge too damned much for phone services and cable service.
